For the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, ASCP recommends a close review of medications to help reduce the burden on pharmacists, residents, and nursing staff. To further limit entries to a patient room, consultants are encouraged to reduce routine medication monitoring and consolidate medication passes, whenever feasible.
